Mission
A2E's mission is to your assist your organization successfully respond to the rapidly changing healthcare environment and to facilitate your organization's and your community's effective participation in the national eHealth initiatives.

To put the magnitude of this change into perspective, consider the DC3.  Airplanes had been around for decades before the first flight of the DC3 pictured here.  Yet it was the first commercially viable airplane and almost single handedly accounted for the success and profitability of the early commercial aviation industry.  The DC3's success was attributed to not 1, but 5 new technologies being combined for the first time:  the variable pitch propeller, retractable landing gear, light-weight molded body construction ("monoque"), radial air-cooled engine and wing flaps.
Healthcare is currently positioned for rapid change in much the same way.  Rapidly changing medical and information technologies, federal initiatives, consumerism, demographics, cost and competitive pressures and more are all combining to create a tidal wave of change.  These complementary and inter-dependent forces will all dramatically transform the healthcare environment.  The effective governance and application of IT resources will certainly determine their potential favorable contribution to the success of the healthcare enterprise.
